TOM SLOSKY QUALIFIES FOR NCAA'S

2007 Mid-Atlantic Regional Men's Results
Duquesne University senior Tom Slosky finished sixth out of of 201 runners at Saturday's NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bethlehem, Pa. and secured a spot in the 2007 NCAA Championship to be held Nov. 19 at Terre Haute, Ind. It is the first time a Duquesne runner has qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
Slosky, who is a two-time NCAA Track & Field Championship participant in the steeplechase, ran the 10K course in 30:25 to lead the Dukes to a seventh place team showing out of 28 schools. He was followed by junior Josh Eddy in 36th place, senior Eric Robertson in 45th place and junior Derek Dutille in 49th.
Slosky ran the course at Terre Haute earlier this season as the Dukes competed in the NCAA Pre-Nationals on Oct. 13. He placed 53rd of 261 runners that day with a time of 24:11 on the 8K course.
The rest of the Red and Blue will compete in the IC4A Championship on Nov. 17 to close out the season.
